OCS PTA Recognizes Creative Students

Oxford Central School recognized a number of its students for their creativity last week at the monthly PTA meeting for their participation and success in the PTA Reflections Program.

The national event awards students in Pre-K through high school for creative projects at the school, regional, state, and national levels. This year’s theme was “Let Your Imagination Fly.”

OCS swept the Primary Grades Literature Division for Warren County: Rohin Patel came in third in the county, Rebecca Rush in second, and Alex Palmer was first in the county for the second year in a row.

Brian Erhard came in second place in the county in the Primary Grades Photography Division.

Several school winners were also recognized at the meeting.

In the Primary Grades Visual Arts Division: Rahee Patel and Willow Slowik. In the Intermediate Grades Literature Division: Bridget McGrath. In Intermediate Visual Arts Division: Brady Witt and Allison Groelly. Last but not least, in the Middle School Visual Arts Division: Phoebe Sessler. All county winners were also school winners.

Fifth grade teacher Jeanne Kimball coordinated all of the school’s submissions.

In addition to the Reflections Awards, the PTA also recently announced that OCS Principal Bob Magnuson has been named a 2016 NJ PTA Outstanding Principal.
