WCCC Hosts Healthcare Education Info Night June 21

Warren County Community College is proud to offer more than a dozen pathways to a new career in the healthcare field. Prospective students can learn about starting their new career in as little as eight weeks during a free information session Tuesday, June 21. 

Open to recent high school grads as well as those looking to start a new career path, the session will discuss opportunities of study available at WCCC as well as what to do with those certificates upon completion. 

As the country grows older, the healthcare industry grows. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that between now and 2024, 1 in 4 new jobs will be in healthcare support and healthcare practitioner occupations.  To learn more about this exciting opportunity, attend WCCC’s Healthcare Career Information Night. Warren County Community College fully prepares students for all necessary testing and readies them for a smooth and successful transition to their new careers. 

Areas of study include medical assistant, dental assistant, veterinarian assistant, nursing assistant, phlebotomy tech, pharmacy tech, dialysis tech, ER tech, therapeutic massage, medical biller and coder, medication aide, Pilates instructor, personal trainer, hypnotherapy, and physical therapy aide.  

Each program has its own draws. The Dental Assisting Program is the only program in Warren, Sussex, or Morris County with National Entry Level Dental Assistant certification. The nationally accredited Medical Assisting Program offers daytime and evening classes to ensure students can earn their degree on their schedule. Both the Medical and Nursing Assistant Programs have a 95% pass rate on their respective certification exams.
