Pianist-Vocalist Tony DeSare Makes Rutherfurd Return

The next installment of Rutherfurd Hall's Great Jazz Series will feature the romantic, swinging sounds of Tony DeSare, pictured.

Pianist Tony DeSare returns to Rutherfurd Hall on Sunday, April 23, for this year’s Great Jazz Series.

An outstanding pianist and vocalist, Desare has garnered critical and popular acclaim during his tours both national and international.

Headlining with the likes of Don Rickles and major symphony orchestras, DeSare has a way of breathing fresh air into old school classics. He has been named a Rising Star Male Vocalist in Downbeat magazine, and has three top 10 Billboard jazz albums under his belt.

His romantic sound sways from swing to sensual, but what sets DeSare apart is his ability to write original material that sounds fresh and contemporary while still paying homage to the Great American Songbook.

The concert will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at Rutherfurd Hall. Tickets are available on the Rutherfurd Hall website and locally at Panther Valley Pharmacy in Allamuchy and Mama’s Café Baci in Hackettstown.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

Rutherfurd Hall is located at 1686 Route 517 in Allamuchy, right off Route 80 exit 19. The performance series is sponsored by Panther Valley Pharmacy and Heath Village.
