Local Pair Get ‘Star Treatment’

Greg Stewart and Susan Morse, two individuals who have played an important role in the local community, were deservedly given the star treatment at the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards banquet on June 14. The chamber has members throughout Morris and Warren counties. The event, held at Audio Visual Dynamics, Mount Olive, drew a sellout SRO crowd. Stewart, owner of NexGen Management and the former President of the Chamber and also a member of the Hackettstown Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors, received the Business Person of the Year Award while the Humanitarian Award was given to Morse from the Mount Olive Pantry. The evening also featured an inspirational keynote speech by Scott Chesney, a renowned motivational speaker here in the United States and around the world.  In addition to his company and work with the chamber, Stewart is very active in community activities, including co-chair of the Leadership Morris Alumni Council. member of the Board of Directors with the Hackettstown Medical Center Foundation, the ECHS Alumni Council, and he is also a Mount Olive Township Councilman.  Morse started with the pantry in January 2014. Morse has shown her heart for helping families in need in the Mount Olive community, and has expanded the capacity and variety of food items available in the pantry over the past couple of years.
