A Good Read In Hope

Mayor Timothy McDonough, in back, his daughter Lacey DiTondo, back left, and his wife, Maria McDonough, back right, continued their tradition of participating in the national Read Across America program at Hope Township School earlier this month. All three read stories to various classes at the school.

Here they are pictured with, from top left standing: Muskaan Madahar, Natalie Motyka, Hollie Ahlers, AK Burke, Vera Carson, Lily Stritch, Benny Bowker, and Grace Maguire. Bottom row: Cole Gantz, Candice Kruk, Ryder Pennucci, Colton Ponnwitz, Cian Lavigne, and Grace Husby.

This is an annual visit for the family as part of an effort they truly believe in — education for our youth. Read Across America, celebrated throughout the United States, coincides with Doctor Seuss’s birthday.  The McDonough family is very active in the community, as well as the school. Maria and Lacey are also agents with Re/Max Town & Valley, which also supports many Hope Township activities.
