Larry Carlbon, of Allamuchy Township, a longtime member of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, helped the organization celebrate its 50th anniversary during its Annual Meeting and a special reception at the New Jersey Statehouse on July 26.  The meeting was held in the Assembly Chamber and included a welcoming from New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagano and words from Guest Speaker Jane Chu, Chair of the National Endowment for the Arts. Among the highlights of the Annual Meeting is the announcement of grants to arts organizations throughout the state. Locally, the Centenary Performing Arts Guild and the Warren County Cultural & Heritage Commission were grant recipients.
