Belvidere H.S. Gym Dedication Set For Feb. 24

Coach Andy Mark, the Belvidere Seaters' most winningest coach, is being honored Feb. 24 in a special gym dedication ceremony.

Belvidere High School is dedicating its gymnasium to Andy Mark, former boys’ basketball coach and the Seaters’ all-time most winning coach, during a special ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The special evening will begin with a pre-game reception at 4 p.m. in the BHS library (the former gym). The varsity boys’ basketball team will then face the Hackettstown Tigers at 5:15 p.m.; the varsity girls’ teams will face off at 7 p.m.

The dedication ceremony will be held between the games, at approximately 6:45 p.m. The evening’s events are open to the public and fellow coaches, former players, students, community leaders, friends and family are all invited to attend this very special event.

A reception will immediately follow the girls’ game, at approximately 9 p.m., at the Rancho Restaurant on Route 46.

The Andy Mark Dedication Committee is seeking donations to help offset the expenses of the dedication, ceremony, and receptions. Donations can be made payable to “BHS Andy Mark Dedication” and will be acknowledged in the ceremony program. Donations can be mailed in care of Donna McDonald to 4502 Virginia Drive, Bethlehem, PA 18017-8720. For more information or to RSVP to the events, please contact either Donna McDonald at or Brad Day at either or (908) 475-1213.
