“Farm to Fork” Fundraiser Pairs Local Food & Wine

The Foodshed Alliance will host its annual Farm to Fork dinner and wine tasting, featuring a seven-course meal, at Alba Vineyard in Pohatcong Township on Sunday, Aug. 28.

The cocktail hour and seven-course wine-pairing dinner will be presented by nine of the Northern New Jersey area’s most reputable chefs, featuring locally produced food from farms throughout northern New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.  Expert winemakers have also hand-selected each course’s pairing.

The event begins at 4 p.m. with gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres al fresco on the vineyard’s new patio and a VIP vineyard tour. The evening will conclude with elegant dining inside the newly created wine-making and tasting room overlooking the stunning grounds.

Tickets to experience the very best the Garden State has to offer are $150 per person. Seating is limited.

Entertainment by George Baier will accompany the culinary talents of Chefs Michael Carrino of Pig and Prince in Montclair, David Felton of Ninety Acres in Peapack, Jesse Jones, Private Chef and Caterer of Chef Jesse Concepts, George Mandakas of Big Bang Kitchens in Manhattan, Dan Rothman, Metro Chef of Whole Foods Market in Northern New Jersey, Kevin Knevals and Bill Dorrler of Osteria Morini in Bernardsville, Florian Wehrli of Triomphe Restaurant in Manhattan, and Eric Levine of Morris Tap and Grill in Randolph.  This unparalleled fundraising event benefits Foodshed Alliance, a grassroots organization dedicated to integrating local food systems that nourish people, sustain farmers, respect lands, and build a resilient food economy.

The Farm to Fork celebration will be held in Warren County’s Village of Finesville, where Alba Vineyard has built a reputation for combining traditional wine making standards with minimal environmental impact to create a superior venue and distinctive product.
