For more than 20 years the two Rotary Clubs from Washington and Hackettstown have sponsored and hosted a luncheon to present most valuable player trophies to an offensive and defensive player from both Hackettstown High School and Warren Hills High School.

The rivalry between two teams is historic, with the two teams facing each other 90 times.  Warren Hills won this year’s contest on Nov. 6.

This year’s luncheon honoring the four players was held in the president’s dining room in the Lackland Center on the campus of Centenary College.

The presentation of trophies was made by the coaches of each team and the awards were made based on the outstanding play of the four winners selected.

The audience consisted of members of both Rotary Clubs, parents of the players and coaches and staff of each team.
