Gallery Opening To Include Art-Making, Ribbon Ceremony

M Galleries, Washington Borough’s newest art gallery, opened up this past April. Now that they are settled in, owner Frank May wants to make it “official.”

He invites everyone to attend the gallery’s official grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 12 noon to 9 p.m.

M Galleries is located at 67 E. Washington Avenue (Route 57).

The event will include an open house and, at 12:30 p.m., a ceremonial ribbon cutting. The special day will also include complimentary light refreshments and art-making stations for adults and children. Folks can come in and create drawings, paintings, collages, sculptures, and coloring sheets. These are all free activities for the day, although donations will be accepted.

M Galleries, which already offers regular exhibits, is also currently scheduling art classes for children and adults. Artists wishing to consider their work for exhibit are encouraged to come by the gallery with samples.

M Galleries will have regular special exhibits all year long. Through Oct. 1, the artist on display is David LaMorte. His exhibit is titled “Paternity Leave.”
