Motown Sound Caps Centenary’s Jamfest

Centenary Stage Company’s 2017 Summer Jamfest comes to a close as Dr. K’s Motown Revue fills the Lackland Performing Arts Center with the heart, soul and sound of Motown on Saturday, August 12 at 8 pm.

The Motown sound has left an indelible stamp on several generations of fans worldwide and over the years many of the artist and writers responsible for bringing to the world this incredible body of work has passed on.  However, the music created lives on through movies, radio, television commercials, collectible CD’s, dance halls, weddings and karaoke clubs. It’s not just the songs but the memories associated with them that have forever imprinted the Motown Sound in the hearts and souls of music fans.  Honoring the music of many of the biggest names in Motown, Dr. K’s Motown Revue celebrates the music of The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye and many more.  Their authentic and powerful lyric, melody and instrumental performance keeps true to the roots of the Motown sound and coupled with era specific costumes provides a true Motown concert experience.
