Rutherfurd Benefit Performers Are Golden

The Friends of Rutherfurd Hall are sponsoring a unique musical experience on Saturday, April 1, when Never Too Late, an Americana band made up of all “golden agers,” will perform a benefit concert.

The concert, which begins at 7 p.m., has no set admission charge, but donations will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit the continued rehabilitation of the historic Tudor building. The Friends will also be on hand to sell refreshments during intermission.

Never Too Late is composed of four musicians who have, collectively, more than two hundred years of musical experience. Members of NTL include AI Kessel on rhythm guitar, Bill Brandon on lead guitar, and John Ciano on steel guitar, all of whom are part of the house band for the live broadcast, barn dance radio show “Heartland’s Hayride” on WDVR. Amy Petrie will perform as lead female vocalist.

In addition to classic country music covers of Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, and Willy Nelson, this eclectic group performs soft rock and oldie standards from the 1930s and 1940s.

Rutherfurd Hall is located at 1686 Route 517 in Allamuchy, just off Interstate 80 exit 19.
