Traffic Town Teaches OCS Students Street Safety

On Tuesday, September 27, the Oxford Central School hosted the Safe Routes to School Traffic Town for grades 3-5.  Students spent time on the large map of a town learning about bike, pedestrian and traffic rules in order to be safer as they travel around Oxford.  Bob Magnuson, OCS Principal, invited Jess Lubas and Emily Casey, from the TransOptions Safe Routes to School program, to the Oxford Central School and help students move around the town and learn new ways to be safer as they walk or bike in Oxford.  This event was part of the school district’s ongoing work to increase the number of students who walk or bike to school.
