Washington’s Downtown Clock Gets a Reset

Posing by the newly repaired clock in Downtown Washington are (left to right) Jim Scovell, President, Washington Kiwanis; Josephine Noone, Councilwoman; and John Monteverde, Executive Director, Washington Business Improvement District.

Passersby may have noticed that Washington Borough’s antique style tower clock was running a little off recently.

Thanks to the Washington Kiwanis, this downtown landmark has been repaired.

Using funds raised by the volunteer-driven group, the four-face clock was reprogrammed and reset, and received new bulbs and sealant along the base.
