Rutherfurd Hall will present the Brass Roots on July 29 (rain date July 30) as part of an evening of activities on the lawn.

Activities start at 5 p.m. with the Brass Roots coming on at 7 p.m.

A waterslide, cornhole and other lawn games are free. Canoe and kayak rentals are available, and the music can be heard from the lake. Valley Bagel of Allamuchy will prepared barbeque meals on site and the Friends of Rutherfurd Hall will sell baked goods. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Brass Roots is a rock and rhythm-based band which add brass to the usual rock-band lineup of instruments. Based out of Long Valley, the band performs a wide variety of musical genres from rock to funk to soul to R&B to country.
