Honor lost loved ones during a Warren County Overdose Awareness Day Candle Vigil on Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Mountain Lake Fire Department.

Every year, thousands of lives are lost to drug overdose and many more permanently injured. Parent to Parent, of Washington, along with the Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities and Blairstown CARE Coalition, want to bring the community together to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related deaths while acknowledging the grief of families and friends left behind.

This special evening of remembrance and awareness will include a beautiful butterfly release, moving speakers, and light refreshments. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. It is free to anyone who wishes to attend and participate.

If you would like to submit a photo of a lost loved one to be included in the memorial, whether you can make it or not, please email a photo with name and dates to parent2parentwc@gmail.com.

Mountain Lake Fire Department is located at 99 Tamarack Road, Belvidere (Liberty Township). The event will be following current CDC guidelines for social distancing. Please wear masks.
