Each year, Home Instead Senior Care of Hunterdon and Warren names a CAREGiver of the year that exemplifies kindness, selflessness, and dedication in making a difference in the lives of their clients and their families, and 2020 CAREGiver of the Year Dave Anderson is no different.

Anderson, a Certified Home Health Aide, was chosen for being a genuine, committed professional who is honest, reliable, kind, compassionate, conscientious, and punctual, according to the agency.

Coworkers admire the respect he shows to clients, as well as his wit and humor. “Dave sees each of his clients as the unique individual they are. He does not ‘see’ the age in anyone. He respects the age they have become and the experiences they have had, the wisdom they share, and his goal is to enhance their life, by sharing his, with them,” according to Lucy Hurley, Home Care Consultant.

Anderson pursued the New Jersey certification and licensure for Home Health Aide in New Jersey to care for his own aging parents. He has worked for Home Instead since 2015 and is a mentor to other caregivers.

“Dave is the type of caregiver that you would want to provide care for your cherished loved one. He is the one you would choose to be there if you could not be. Dave is an exemplary gentleman who redefines the term ‘caregiver.’”

Home Instead Senior Care has been serving seniors in Hunterdon and Warren Counties since 2000.
