Charlie’s Photo Of The Week Is All About The Timing

Charlie Fineran’s Photo of the week is a good example of being at the right place at the right time!!

I was trying to decide where I would take some sunset photos.  The Panther Valley Golf & Country Club is one of my favorite areas as there are three sites near there that I focus on, all depending on the time of year with the position of the sun!  This photo was taken back on Sept. 24th. I was trying to decide, hole #1 on the PVG&CC,  Mallard Drive (where these photos were taken) or from the Panther Valley Scenic Overlook???  I had just arrived here when I noticed the reflection of the sun on the little pond in front of the club house some distance away!  On closer inspection I was treated to the silhouette of deer!

What are the chances of catching the sun’s reflections and some deer all within the panorama of a sunset!!  I am glad I stopped and checked this out, I didn’t notice the deer until closer inspection and as it turned out, it really wasn’t much of a sunset!!

Just a side note:  this is only a couple of days after the autumnal equinox, Sept. 22nd, first day of Fall, sun is over the equator and night and daylight hours are equal.
