Clouds in My Coffee, Noble Brothers highlight Donaldsons Upcoming FNOF Music Series

Carly Simon/Carole King tribute band, Clouds in My Coffee and the Americana group, The Noble Brothers (pictured above), bring their special style of music to Donaldson Farms in the coming weeks as part of the Friday Night on the Farm (FNOF) series with James Off Main.

Donaldson Farms is not only about music, of course.  Sweet corn, tomatoes, fresh baked pies, and other baked goods are all available at the Farm Market.  In fact, now through August is prime sweet corn season and Donaldsons’ very own corn has been ranked the No. 1 corn in Warren County by insidewarren.com.

In addition to music and fresh fruits and vegetables, Donaldson Farms plays host to its ever popular weekly Little Learning Farmers program, Wednesday Workshops on the Farm and other special activities. New this year Czig Meister Brewing Company in Hackettstown is selling its craft beers to go on weekends and is included as part of the Friday Nights on the Farm. James Off Main provides the food for many of the Friday Night events, as well. Roasted sweet corn and clams are also on the menu, prepared by Donaldson Farms.

Donaldson Farms is located on Allen Road in Mansfield Township, near Routes 57 and 46. The Farm Market is open seven days a week, offering an array of farm fresh fruits and veggies, baked goods, local artisan products, cheese and crackers, dairy products, and more. FNOF events run from 5-9 p.m., with musical entertainment from 6-9.

Clouds in My Coffee, which also plays a host of pop favorites including songs of The Beatles, is scheduled for July 30. The Noble Brothers take the stage on Aug. 6. Later in the month, slated are Bombed Opera (Aug. 13), The Emulators (Aug. 20) and the Trevor B. Power Band (Aug. 27).  The FNOF series concludes on Sept. 3 with an encore performance by Bombed Opera.

In addition to the music on July 30, the Puppy-Wuppy Dog Obedience Drill Team, as seen at Veterans Day Events, NJ State Fair and elsewhere, will be performing an obedience choreographed routine with their canines, demonstrating obedience exercises with explanations at 7 p.m. during a break in the music. Tickets are available for all the music events, in advance online, or at the gate. These events are family-friendly with various kids’ activities on hand, including laser tag, painting fun with ARTStitution, and balloon sculpting with Clowns & Gowns.
