County Announces Return of Free Family Festival

ParkFest @ Bread Lock Park includes fun for the whole family, with activities for kids, an art show, live music, a classic car show, history exhibits and films, and “Authors Alley” featuring published authors. The 3rd Annual event takes place June 8, 2019. Pictured is last year’s event.

The 3rd annual ParkFest will return this June with a full day of free events that include musical acts, a car show, artist showcase, “Authors Alley,” and exhibits by history and heritage groups.

The festival will take place at Bread Lock Park in Franklin Township, along the Morris Canal Greenway, on June 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is presented by several county government organizations and volunteer groups.

“It is an exceptional example of a successful partnership between county government and the local nonprofit community for the benefit of local residents,” said Warren County Parks Foundation Chairman David Lacouture.

The nonprofit Warren County Parks Foundation and the Warren County Morris Canal Committee, part of the county Planning Department, are teaming up to host the event. Also supporting ParkFest @ Bread Lock Park are the Warren County Board of Chosen Freeholders and other county government entities including the Department of Land Preservation, the Public Information Department and the Explore Warren County Tourism Partnership.

Event organizers are currently seeking artists, authors, car show participants, and musical entertainers. To inquire, please send an email to morriscanal@co.warren.nj.us or call 908-475-6539.
