CSC In Fall Offers Theater Productions, Concerts

Season Subscription and Flex Pass Packages for Centenary Stage Company’s 2022-2023 Season are now on-sale.

For their 37th season, CSC has a full schedule of professional theatrical performances and concerts.

The Professional Theatre Series will include performances of “Cinderella,” “Ladykillers,” and the world premiere of “Off the Map” by Christine Foster. The Fringe Festival performances will be “The Artist Will Be with You in a Moment” and “My Witch.” Concerts are by Danny Farinacci Quartet, Damn Tall Buildings and Chuchito Valdez. The NEXTStage Repertory student productions and the Women Playwrights Series readings also return

Season Subscriptions can be purchased online at centenarystageco.org or by calling the box office at (908) 979-0900 or stopping by in-person to the box office in the Lackland Center 715 Grand Avenue, Hackettstown, Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The Season Subscription package from Centenary Stage Company is called the “Season Producer Pass” and costs $200. This package offers patrons admission into all CSC events plus all NEXTStage Repertory events during the season. This includes the Curtain Up! Gala event Laurel Canyon: A Tribute to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young but excludes Hackettstown Rotary Fundraiser Concerts and NJCYB performances.

Laurel Canyon (pictured above) is an acoustic tribute to the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young features recreations of their seminal works as well as songs from their early bands and their solo years. The trio is made up of Grammy Award winning writer/producer Mark Hudson, Hall of Fame Songwriter Fary Burr, and singer-songwriter Mark Mirando

Benefits for this subscription package include advance season renewal with preferred seating selection, no restrictions on the date or time of the performance selection, cost savings, and no order, exchange, or mailing fees.

CSC is also bringing back the “CSC Encore Program” for Season Subscription holders. This program allows a Season Subscription package holder to see the same event for a second time for free with the purchase of another ticket for a guest on a different date.

CSC also offers the option of purchasing a “Flex Pass” which provide patrons discount ticket prices and the convenience of purchasing tickets at any time for each event. Patrons have the option of picking a “Series A Flex Pass” for any 6 tickets to be redeemed throughout the season, or a “Series B Flex Pass” for any 3 tickets.

Patrons who wish to have specific seating for each event must provide dates and times when purchasing the “Flex Pass” by directly contacting the CSC box office. “Flex Passes” do not carry over to the next season and cannot be used towards CSC Curtain Up! Events, Hackettstown Rotary Fundraiser Concerts, or NJCYB performances.

In other upcoming CSC fall events, the Young Audience Series will run from Friday, Sept. 30 through Monday, Oct. 3 in the Little Theatre in the Seay Building, 400 Jefferson Street. YAS touring troupe will present: “A Year with Frog and Toad.” Waking from hibernation in the spring, journey through a whole year as Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. The two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special. Part vaudeville, park make believe, all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $10 for students and children 12 and under.

The Fringe series kicks off with the production of “The Artist Will Be with You in a Moment” running Thursday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 16 in the Kutz Blackbox Theatre of the Lackland Performing Arts Center. The Artista Will Be with You in a Moment is an immersive audience experience in a solo comic performance as an artist, performer, and clown Adult ticket prices range from $25 to $27.50. Discounts may be available for seniors, students, and children under 12 for select performances.
