December at Rutherfurd Includes Traditions and Celebrations

Rutherfurd Hall

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Rutherfurd Hall, when decking the halls takes on a whole new life in the historic mansion. Holiday and non-holiday themed activities are on the schedule this December. Take a look:

Celebrate the Holidays with Santa and more on Saturday, Dec. 7. Caroling will fill the decorated halls and family-friendly activities include free photo ops with Santa (don’t forget your camera!), holiday crafts, and more. Festive refreshments will be for sale. This event is free. 12-3 p.m.

The following afternoon, enjoy a free holiday a capella concert featuring local high school groups. The concert starts at 1 p.m. and runs approximately an hour and a half. This is a family-friendly event.

A special paint night this month includes an adult and kids paint. All supplies, instruction and snacks are provided. The Adult Paint and (BYO) Wine Night begins at 7 p.m. Learn painting techniques while creating a monogrammed holiday wreath. The event is $25 per person and runs two hours.

Children will love their festive kids paint night, where budding artists can create a penguin friends painting! With step by step instructions, this activity is suitable for most ages. Children 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult. This activity is $20 per child.

This time of the year, it’s easy to put everyone else first. Join Life and Mindset Coach, Lina Hollman, as she hosts Change Yourself, Change Your Life. She will help you celebrate the most important person in your life – yourself – and set up a positive path into the coming year. Attendees will receive a free life planner. Attendance is $15 per person.

And don’t forget to *save the date* for the celebrated annual Kentucky Derby Fundraiser, which will take place January 25.

Rutherfurd Hall is located at 1686 Route 517 in Allamuchy, just off Interstate 80. They are open every Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 pm for tours on the hour.
