Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center’s third annual Shining the Light fall social

Foundation Event Will Spotlight Honorees and Raise Funds for Emergency Department Expansion

The Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center’s third annual Shining the Light fall social will be held on Thursday, October 9 at Panther Valley Golf & Country Club in Allamuchy.

This fundraiser will highlight Atlantic Health Hackettstown Medical Center and celebrate two very special honorees – Community Honoree Greg Stewart and Physician Honoree Suvid Chaudhari, DO, and the Emergency Department physicians at Hackettstown Medical Center.

During his years as a Hackettstown Medical Center Foundation board member and through various Foundation fundraising event related committee work, Greg Stewart, an area business and community leader, has dedicated countless hours and resources to enhancing the lives of patients, their families and hospital team members.

Board certified in Emergency, Internal and Lifestyle medicine, Dr. Chaudhari is a member at large of Hackettstown Medical Center’s Medical Executive Committee and Vice President of Atlantic Health Newton Medical Center’s Medical Executive Committee. He is Medical Director of both the Hackettstown and Newton Medical Center Emergency Departments.

The event will be held from 5:30-9:30pm, and will feature delicious food and drink, music, a silent auction, wine pull, and plenty of mixing and mingling. Cocktail attire is suggested.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Foundation’s current fundraising initiative to raise $1 million toward a $6.5 million renovation/expansion of the Emergency Department at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Through this project, the footprint of the Emergency Department will be expanded to create:

– Twenty patient treatment rooms, an increase from the current eleven patient treatment

   rooms

– Six specially equipped treatment rooms to care for behavioral health patients

– A new nurse’s station

– An expanded waiting area

“The Emergency Department renovation/expansion project will provide an optimal healing environment for patients and their families,” explained Megan Sandow, chief philanthropy officer at Hackettstown Medical Center. “The foundation is honored to help raise funds for this important project that will make a difference to so many.” If you would like to purchase tickets to attend, learn about sponsorship opportunities or how you can recognize this year’s honorees with a digital ad, please visit atlantichealth.org/shinethelight or contact the Foundation office at 908-850-6876.
