Updated: Free Virtual Legal Seminars in February

Updated Feb. 11 to include a newly added seminar for Feb. 18

Project Self-Sufficiency will host free, virtual legal education seminars throughout February.

Tenant and landlord law will be covered on Thursday, Feb. 18, 6-7 p.m.. Victoria Reiners, Esq., will facilitate. Participants will discuss the rights and duties of landlords and tenants, including eviction, security deposits, leases, mortgages, and saving homes from foreclosure.

Steve McNally, Esq., will facilitate a seminar regarding Bankruptcy and Foreclosure on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 6-8 p.m.  Participants will learn about the process of filing for bankruptcy, as well as the options available to those facing overwhelming credit card debt, foreclosure, or asset repossession. 

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, Gretchen Fry Rafuse, Esq., facilitated a Family Law seminar, focusing on child support, grounds for divorce, court procedures, alimony, parenting time, equitable distribution of assets, and other topics related to divorce.  

The free legal education seminars are programs of the Sussex County Family Success Center at Project Self-Sufficiency. 

All sessions will take place via Zoom and are open to the public; interested participants are invited to call 973-940-3500 for log-in information. Advanced registration is required.
