From the Halls of Warren Hills: Nov. 17, 2020

RECOGNITIONS

First year student Denise Coutinho placed second in the Carnegie Mellon University Creative Task Competition, open to classes around the world that use the university’s online computer programming technology to learn the Python language. Teachers were invited to submit up to three student projects that met the unit tasks. Denise’s project, for Intro to Computer Science, caught the attention of the judging committee made up of Computer Science majors. Her project is of a beating heart. Megan Dufner and Eric Paruta were named Warren Hill’s Homecoming Queen and King. They were recognized at the Homecoming football game against Belvidere on Friday, Nov. 6.

SPORTS

Michael Fama

Senior Michael Fama placed third overall at the Skylands Conference Cross Country Championship at Phillipsburg High School on Nov. 2. Also competing were juniors Ryan Shulman and Grace Tirabassi (making her championship debut!).
