Hackettstown Free Public Library Offers Spanish-Language Streaming for the Latino Community

The library has announced the launch of Bibliotele, a new Spanish-language streaming service now available free of charge to all library patrons. This initiative offers a wide range of culturally relevant, high-quality audiovisual content for the Latino community, reinforcing the library’s commitment to accessibility, equity, and community engagement.

Bibliotele provides unlimited access to a curated collection of movies, series, documentaries, theater, and civic rights—all entirely in Spanish. “We created Bibliotele to support libraries in serving Latino communities with content that feels relevant, empowering, and rooted in culture,” said David Padilla, CEO and founder of Bibliotele. “We’re honored to partner with the Hackettstown Free Public Library to make this resource available to families in Hackettstown.”

“Providing meaningful resources for all members of our community is a central part of our mission,” said Jerry Galante, Director of the Library. “Bibliotele offers Spanish-speaking patrons access to high-quality entertainment and educational content, and we’re excited to introduce it as part of our digital offerings.”

Accessible on Smart TVs, mobile devices, tablets, computers, and even offline, Bibliotele is designed for flexibility and ease of use. No ads, no fees—just a library card. The launch of Bibliotele marks a significant step in bridging the language access gap for the growing Latino population in Hackettstown. With a platform tailored to the needs of Spanish-speaking users, the service helps families stay connected to their cultural roots while also promoting learning, civic engagement, and digital inclusion.
