Hope Chamber Slates Annual Candidates Night Oct. 12

The Annual Hope Area Chamber of Commerce Candidates Night, the only county-wide candidates night in Warren County and a tradition for the past 34 years, is scheduled for Wednesday Oct. 12, 7 p.m. at the Hope Community Center. 

The Candidates Night, the longest of its kind in Warren County, is not intended as a debate. Candidates will take questions from the audience as part of the program. 

Invited candidates include: Republicans Holly Mackey, Warren County Clerk, and James McDonald, Sheriff, both incumbents and unopposed; for Surrogate, Michael Doherty, Republican, Maureen McCabe, Democrat, and John Massaro,  Independent; for Commissioner, incumbent Jason Sarnoski, Republican, and Theresa Bender Chapman, Democrat. 

In addition, the lone candidate for Hope Township Committee, John Kruk, will provide his views on the future of Hope.

WRNJ Radio will be also be on hand for the event. 

Candidates Night is open to all and it’s free to attend. This year’s Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday Nov. 8.
