House of Good Shepherd Slates ‘Classic’ Fundraiser

The House of The Good Shepherd Retirement Community is putting on a “classic” event for golfers in September.

The House will host a “Golf Classic” at the prestigious Robert Trent Jones designed Panther Valley Golf Club on Monday Sept. 19.

Funds raised at the Golf Classic will support the Shepherd’s Fund, which provides financial assistance to residents whose resources have depleted over time, ensuring their ongoing ability to live at The House regardless of their financial capacity.

“We are excited to bring our golf outing to Panther Valley, an amazing course that the general public rarely gets an opportunity to play on,” said Susan Lanza, Executive Director of The House of the Good Shepherd. “With its scenic views, rolling hills and challenge, Panther Valley really is a gem.”

Panther Valley is located on Route 517 in Allamuchy Township. The 4-person scramble format begins with a Shot Gun set for 10 a.m. with registration and breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. The cost to play golf is $225 and also includes a dinner awards reception. Guests are also invited to attend the 3 p.m. gourmet reception for $75 per person. Several sponsorship levels are available.

Sponsors include Blue Ridge Lumber (Platinum), Warfel Construction (Gold), Fellowship Village (Silver), Baker Tilly (Bronze), and John Johnson Auto Group (Hole in One).

Opportunities for sponsorships, as well as openings for foursomes and individual golfers, are available. For sponsorship information or any other questions about the outing, contact Maureen Cameron at The House: mcameron@hotgs.org or (908) 684-5952. More details, including golfer registration, can be found at https://www.hotgs.org/event/charity-golf-outing/
