Library Topic Focuses on Mothers of Invention

Carol Simon Levin will portray motion study pioneer Lillian Moller Gilbreth in a Zoom presentation on Wednesday, March 16, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., sponsored by the Warren County Library.

Levin’s “Mothers of Invention” program will also share stories of other overlooked women inventors in recognition of Women’s History Month. She points out female innovators changed our lives, from Margaret Knight, the 19th Century “female Edison” to Hollywood superstar Hedy Lamarr and yet are often ignored, discounted or have their inventions credited to others. Moller Gilbreth may be better known for her 12 children from the book and movies “Cheaper By the Dozen” than for her innovations in motion study.

Registation is required with Kim Urban at (908) 818-1280 or kurban@warrenlib.org.
