Mobile Weather Station Comes to Oxford School

Oxford Central School recently held a science weather assembly for kindergarten-eighth grade students. John Marshall, who has been an on-air weatherman for the tri-state area for over 20 years, brought his mobile weather station to the students. He discussed topics such as seasons, fronts, and types of clouds and storms. His presentation covered topics based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS,) and allowed students to interact with various types of weather instruments. Students were even able to use a green screen to pretend that they were on TV and predicting the weather.
