The Musconetcong is receiving some much-deserved national attention! Recently, U.S. Secretary of the Interior David L. Bernhardt officially designated The Musconetcong Watershed National Water Trail, which promotes recreational access to the watershed.

The Musconetcong River begins at Lake Hopatcong and runs more than 40 miles down to the Delaware River, flowing through Warren County and the surrounding Highlands region.

The designation was part of a broader national announcement that established 30 new national recreation trails in 25 states, adding more than 1,275 miles to the National Trails System.
