October at Rutherfurd Starts With a Bus Tour and Spooky Lecture

Rutherfurd Hall

Rutherfurd Hall is kicking off a busy month with not one but two events on Wednesday, Oct. 2!

At 11 a.m., take a ride into history when the popular historical Allamuchy bus tour returns. A local tour guide will narrate the tour as participants see where the Rutherfurds spent their summer vacations in Allamuchy. The bus tour is $15 per person and lasts about an hour and a half. To register, visit www.rutherfurdhall.org or call (908) 852-1894 ext. 338.

Later that evening, get in the mood for Halloween with a free Centenary Lecture, The Scary Psychology of Stephen King. Led by Christine Floether, PhD, an associate professor of psychology at Centenary University, the talk will discuss King’s life and explore connections to his books and writing.

The museum at the historical estate will also be open from 1-4 p.m. that day.
