Presentation on Rural Energy Grants and Loans for Farms and Small Businesses Offered April 19

Learn how to cut energy costs for your farm or rural small business with USDA Rural Development Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) Grants and Loans.  Grants up to 50% of total project costs are now available with the implementation of changes under the Inflation Reduction Act.

Maximum REAP grants increased to $500,000 for energy efficiency improvements and $1 million for renewable energy system installations.  NJ’s Clean Energy incentives can also be combined with USDA REAP funds, further reducing out of pocket costs.

The Warren County Economic Development Committee and the Warren County Board of Agriculture will co-host an informational meeting Wednesday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room of the Wayne Dumont Jr. Administration Building, 165 County Route 519 South, Belvidere, NJ 07822. Those interested also can attend the meeting online through the Webex platform.

“Recognizing how important farms and small businesses are to Warren County’s overall economy, we are pleased to host this session to bring information about these financial programs to those who could benefit,” said Warren County Commissioner Jason J. Sarnoski, liaison to the county EDC.

Representatives from USDA Rural Development, NJ Clean Energy and JCP&L will share important information on grants, loans and incentives. Also attending are Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and North Jersey Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) to provide information on energy assessment services available to support grant and loan applications.

Don’t miss this historic opportunity for farmers and rural small businesses to reduce energy costs. Register with the Warren County Public Information Department at 908-475-6580 or publicinfo@co.warren.nj.us to confirm your attendance, or join online at https://tinyurl.com/y9mndhwz.
