Psst….Santa is Making an Early Visit to Washington for Small Business Saturday Nov. 25

Psst! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making an early visit to Washington Borough!

Small Business Saturday, celebrated the Saturday after Thanksgiving each year, has always been a lot of fun in Washington Borough. The day features a DJ, holiday shopping opportunities, a shopping contest, and …. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus!

Many businesses offer sales and other incentives to customers on that day. Throughout the day the North Pole visitors go from business to business with early holiday greetings, and if shoppers are lucky enough, have a chance to mingle with the Santa and Mrs. Claus.

This year on Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25, the Washington Business Improvement District is again featuring another incentive for shoppers to make their way to the Borough.

The WBID, in association with several businesses, is offering shoppers the chance to win two prize basket of gift cards worth over $500 in total, by partaking in a contest wherein visitors are eligible to win if they make a purchase at just any three of the participating businesses.

“Small Business Saturday brings attention to the thousands and thousands of small businesses around the country,” said Melanie Thiel, Executive Director of the Washington BID. “Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. In Washington we are predominately made up of small businesses and we need to support them not just on Small Business Saturday, but every day. Small Business Saturday is a day that we can highlight them in a big way.”

The contest itself is only good for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 25.

Contest forms are online at washingtonbid.org and will also be available for pickup at the participating businesses and prior to Small Business Saturday at the WBID office, 21 Belvidere Ave.
