Sing 2 Highlights Hackettstown’s National Night Out

The Hackettstown Police Department, Hackettstown Recreation and the Business Improvement District will present National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Hackettstown Pool Field, 499 Warren Street, with a children’s movie and more!

The field opens at 6 p.m.; event end at 10 p.m. The movie “Sing 2” will be shown at dusk. Please bring a blanket or chair.

Featured will be vendors, crime prevention activities, food, and more. In addition, the BID will host a wellness fair that evening.

SOCIAL MEDIA SESSION

For those looking to enhance their social media skills, the Hackettstown BID and Centenary University Social Media Students present the August 2022 Speaker Series: facebook 101 via Zoom on Monday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 7 p.m.

Topics of the session Include: Creating a FB account, Adding Friends & inviting users, Creating Posts, Using captions, How to like, comment & share and join groups, How to manage a FB account, FB navigation & etiquette, Q&A for beginners and advanced users.

Presenters are: Bella Beviss, a senior at Centenary majoring in in business administration social media marketing and minoring in equine studies. She works as a cosmetologist at Top Notch and Cloth and owns Bella Rae Swim. Carson Fazekas, a full-time social media manager at a tech start-up who holds a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and is completing a certificate program in social media marketing. Timesha Warno who received and associate degree from Centenary and is working toward a bachelor’s degree in business administration social media marketing.
