There’s a ‘Little’ buzz in Washington Borough

There’s a “Little” buzz in Washington Borough, and its gaining momentum.

As the new year takes hold, the Washington Business Improvement District, in an effort to focus more on supporting businesses in town with its residents and positive attributes, is rebranding with a new name – Little Washington.

“The goal behind the Little Washington branding is to highlight and celebrate the charm of our historic town while creating a distinct, memorable identity that attracts visitors, supports local businesses, and strengthens community pride,” said Kristy Romanowski, the organization’s Executive Director. “By unifying signage, marketing, events, and beautification efforts under a cohesive brand, the WBID is able to tell a consistent story about who we are—a small, historic town with character, creativity, a welcoming downtown and a great place to do business throughout the Borough.”

Further, Romanowski stated, “This branding helps differentiate us from surrounding communities, will offer more tourism appeal, and create a sense of belonging for residents and business owners alike, ultimately contributing to a stronger and more vibrant local economy.”

Restaurants, retail businesses and professional service providers will benefit from the new branding as well.

“We’ve got a lot of new and unique events and promotional ideas we are working on,” said Nicole Kries, the President of the WBID’s Board of Directors. “From our businesses to our residents, Little Washington will be a win-win all around. So stay tuned for more exciting news down the line!”
