It may be fall, but there’s still three more concerts before Music at St. Luke’s wraps up for the 2019 season.

Friday, Sept. 13, the Brian Molnar Band featuring Harry and Bob Noble will play their unique mixture of folk, classic rock, and original tunes at 7:30 p.m.

The Noble brothers, natives of Vienna, N.J., play St. Luke’s nearly every year, either as a family or with other musicians. Molnar has played the church with them in the past.

The second concert will be the return of the award-winning, all-Female Barbershop Chorus, Lehigh Valley Chorus.  Their motto is “Spreading joy through women’s barbershop harmony since 1958.” They will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6. Their concerts last about an hour.

Suggested donation for each concert above is $10.

Once more, the season’s closer will be Russian a capella group, LYRA.

LYRA visits Music at St. Luke’s every few years during its North American tour. The group performs Russian Folk Songs as well as Chants of the Russian Orthodox Church. The members of LYRA are all professional musicians who sing at a church in St. Petersburg. Some perform at musical theaters in that city. Their mission is to introduce the vast musical heritage of the Russian Orthodox Church and traditional Russian folk music to new audiences across the United States.

Suggested donation for Lyra is $20 for adults, $10 for students.

St. Luke’s Church is in the center of the Historic Moravian Village of Hope. Parking is behind the church, in the bank parking lot adjacent to the church and on the street.

Music at St. Luke’s is funded in part through a grant from the Warren County Cultural and Heritage Commission.
