Uncle Floyd’s Vaudeville-Style Act At Wild West City

Uncle Floyd will bring his zany sense of humor – some call it vaudeville-like – to a unique amusement park that has a special place in his heart, Wild West City. Uncle Floyd is appearing at the iconic western theme park for a special performance on Saturday July 27. Show time is 8 p.m. and tickets are just $15 apiece. Wild West City is located near Routes 206, 46 and 80.

Early in his career, Uncle Floyd was the piano player at the Golden Nugget Saloon at Wild West City. In fact, it was Uncle Floyd who wrote the still-used theme song for Wild West City.

Uncle Floyd, born and raised in Jersey, was a cable star “before there was cable.” He performs regularly throughout New Jersey – and beyond, bringing back memories for all who attend. With that in mind, Wild West City is the perfect venue.

“I love performing at Wild West City,” said Uncle Floyd. “There’s nothing like that place. It’s from another era and some say my humor is from another era so it’s a great match,” he added with a smile.

Some call Uncle Floyd an iconic institution, too. Easily recognizable by his out-of-fashion signature plaid suits and straw hat, he has been a part of the New York area metro scene since the 1970s. His TV show, the Uncle Floyd Show, appeared on many cable systems over the years; not just in New Jersey but throughout the United States. Many referred to his TV show as “TV’s strangest adult kiddie show.”

In addition, Uncle Floyd regularly performs his unforgettably hilarious shows at nightclubs throughout the tri-state area where he enjoys a solid fan base and mixes comedy with song while playing rip-roaring tunes on the piano. He has opened for hundreds of big name stars.

Uncle Floyd has also appeared on numerous TV shows and movies, including “Good Morning Vietnam,” “Law & Order” and “Cosby” and has recorded several CDs.

Tickets, $15 each, are general admission and can be purchased at the door. For directions to Wild West City, visit wildwestcity.com.
