WCCC Celebrates Its Newest Nursing Graduates

Warren County Community College graduated 17 nursing students at its annual pinning ceremony mid-May, recognizing five students with additional awards.

All 17 students earned their “nursing pins” in recognition of the culmination of the program, in which each student showed a dedication to learning.

“This is an impressive class and the medical field is all the better having these nurses enter it,” said Patricia Stypolkowski, MSN-ED, RN, CNE, Executive Director of Nurse Education at WCCC. “The nurse education program takes hard work and determination and the Class of 2019 has certainly earned their pins.”

This year’s graduating class included Abigail Ballard, Jordan E. Banghart, Anastasiya Brenich, Rachel Clemmo, Sarah Noelle Crawford, Caitlin Havrilla, Grae Hildebrant, Jacquelyn Lee Holleran, Audrey R. LaRochelle, Kerri L. McCloskey, Berenice Denise Ramirez, Precious X. Rilloraza, Sushma Sankili, Nicole E. Standish, Alicia Stemler, Becky Tysvaer, and Timothy Ross Van Deursen.

Additionally, five of these students were recognized with special awards for their achievements throughout the program. Abigail Ballard earned the Nurse Education Service Award, Anastasiya Brenich took home the Faculty Award for the Most Improved Student, Rachel Clemmo earned the Academic Achievement Award, Caitlin Havrilla received the Professional Nursing Award, and Grae Hildebrant was given the New Jersey League of Nursing Award.

More than 270 students have graduated from the Associate in Science Degree program since its inception in September 2005. Many currently work in various health facilities throughout the region. Most have continued pursuing additional degrees and are now enrolled in bachelor, master, and doctoral programs. The nursing program is ranked as one of the best in the State of New Jersey.
