Warren County Community College will be offering a free High School Equivalency and ABE Study Program this fall and winter for adults seeking to take the HSE (formerly known as GED) exam. 

This small-group course offers self-paced learning so that students can get the basic education they need to pass the HSE exam.

Students must be aged 16 or older. Teens aged 16 or 17 must have a signed consent form from a parent or guardian to attend. The program is designed for participants who did not complete high school, and are not currently enrolled in high school. 

This course is funded by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and is free for students. 

WCCC has five sections of HSE programs scheduled for fall and winter to meet an array of scheduling needs. 

WCCC’s Washington campus will begin offering HiSET HSE testing this September.  For more information regarding HSE testing, please contact the Instructional Support Center (ISC) directly at (908) 835-2354 or via email at HSE@warren.edu.

On WCCC’s main campus in Washington, students can attend the Monday and Wednesday evening course, which runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Sept. 10 through Dec. 19.  For more information regarding HSE testing, please contact the Instructional Support Center (ISC) at (908) 835-2354 or via email at HSE@warren.edu.  

Four additional options are scheduled for the Phillipsburg Education Center. Monday through Friday morning classes will be offered Sept. 10 through Nov. 30 and Dec. 3 through March 1. Evening courses will also run Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 11-Nov. 29, and Dec. 4-Feb. 28. 

The Phillipsburg Education Center is located at 445 Marshall Street, Phillipsburg. The Washington campus is located at 475 Route 57 in Washington.
