WCCC Online Courses Ease Stress of Commuter Life

Warren County Community College understands that its students have needs different than traditional college students. Full time jobs, families, and travel time to campus can all impact a student’s ability to attend class on campus.

To meet demand and allow students to study on their own time, WCCC is now offering more than 300 convenient, effective, and affordable professional and personal development courses online.“These courses ease the burden of students already performing a balancing act with their commitments,” said Eve Azar, WCCC’s VP of Corporate and Continuing Education. “Take teachers, for example. They are busy teaching in classrooms during the day and spend their evenings grading assignments. Now, their professional development hours can be attained on their schedule, from the comfort of their own home.”

Teaching development offerings are in a range of subjects, which may include Teaching Students with Autism: Strategies for Success, Singapore Math: Number Sense and Computational Strategies, and Reading Strategies Suite. Other professional development courses may include Financial Analyst Suite, Medical Math, Introduction to Screenwriting, Conversational Japanese, and Introduction to Interior Design, among others.

Full career certificate programs are also available online, such as Android App Developer, Certified Quality Improvement Associate, Technical Writing, Corporate Event Planner, and more in an array of fields.

Each course is project-oriented and includes lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion, and supplementary links.
