Wild West City, Larry Storch To Lasso Father’s Day Fun

With Memorial Day Weekend behind us, it’s unofficially summer! You know what that means: It’s time to visit one of the area’s favorite day-cation spots: Wild West City in Byram. The replica of 1880s Dodge City has a full schedule of special events coming up to keep every cowpoke in the family entertained.

Celebrate Dads Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16! Fathers are admitted free with a paying child.  This local destination is a great place for making family memories as you play and learn together.

In between exploring the living history exhibits and watching the 22 different live-action shows each day, as part of the Father’s Day weekend fun on Sunday, be sure to stop to see Larry Storch on Sunday, June 16! Storch, the actor best known perhaps for playing Corporal Agarn in the hit 1960s western sitcom, F-Troop, will be available for autographs and photographs at noon!

Spend the long weekend after July 4th with the Native American Intertribal Dancers! Performing Friday, July 5-Sunday, July7, these performances, which exhibit traditional dances and dress, are a popular draw at Wild West City, known to attract crowds from all over the tri-state area. If you haven’t seen them yet, you won’t want to miss this!

Wild West City is open 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends only through June 16 and then daily through Labor Day. Admission is $22 for adults and $18 for children 2-11, with discounts for seniors and large groups. Admission includes access to live shows, barnyard zoo, historical displays, gold panning, and lots of fun. Parking is free.
