Allison Weissman Earns Girl Scout Gold Award

Allison Weissman, a Senior at Warren Hills Regional High School, recently completed her Girl Scout Gold Award.  A Gold Award is the highest award attainable for Girl Scouts

Her effort was a sustainable project involving the community and must target a specific issue.  Weissman’s project,  a “Mural for Moral” is based on her believe that Group Identities define us and give individuals a place to belong; however, the same Group Identities can also divide us when the groups don’t inter-mingle.  Her Mural is a compilation of all of the Clubs/Activities/Athletics at Warren Hills, and is located in the main foyer of the High School.

Weissman, 17 and a Girl Scout for the past 11 years, is also a member of the Warren Hills SAVE Club, the Swim Team as well as key member of the Band.  She plays the Bass Clarinet, Clarinet, and Tenor Saxophone; is a member of the marching band, jazz ensemble, wind ensemble, and pit orchestra. Weissman is Saxophone section leader in the marching band, she has been on the band class executive board for 2 years, was a member of the 2016 Steel Stacks All-Star Jazz Band as well as the North Jersey Region I Symphonic Band in 2016 and 17.

Weissman is planning on attending college to major in Environmental Science and Minor in Music.
