Haytaian, Reitemeyer Named To WCCC Trustee Board

A Warren County Hall of Famer and a Warren County Community College graduate are now members of the WCCC Board of Trustees.

Garabed “Chuck” Haytaian, former Speaker of the New Jersey State Assembly, and Yvonne Reitemeyer, a WCCC graduate and strong community leader from Lopatcong Township, were recently appointed to the Board by N.J. Governor Chris Christie.

Haytaian, of Independence Township, who served in the General Assembly from 1982-1996, has been a longtime supporter of WCCC. In honor of him the college library bears his name along with Chris Maier. He is also a member of the Warren County Hall of Fame, which is sponsored by the WCCC Foundation.

“I’m honored to join the board,” said Haytaian. “I’m proud to be serving the college.”

As a Warren County Freeholder, Haytaian was instrumental in starting the college along with Maier, his fellow freeholder at the time. His appointment as a trustee brings him, he says, “full circle.”

Reitemeyer, a financial advisor, graduated from WCCC in 2013. Professionally her resume is extensive. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Lehigh Valley Chapter.

In her community, Reitemeyer formerly served on the Lopatcong Township Council, was the Vice President of the Lopatcong Township PTA, and serves as secretary of the Phillipsburg High School Soccer Booster Club.

“Two excellent new board members,” said Dr. Will Austin, President of WCCC. “Their backgrounds are varied. Each of them brings a different perspective to our board.”
