To say that Theresa Mutz has been a mainstay as a member of the House of the Good Shepherd staff is beyond an understatement. Mutz has been working at The House for 40 years!
“There is no more dedicated an employee imaginable,” said Deborah Beards, CEO at The House. “Theresa is the definition of ‘loyal’.”
Mutz has been in the Housekeeping department at The House for her entire 40-year tenure at the Hackettstown retirement community.
Mutz was one of 12 employees who were recently recognized at a special dinner for their years of service to The House. Christine Garofalo, with 25 years, and Eva Chege with 15, also earned special praise. Garofalo is in Marketing and Admissions while Chege is in the Nursing department.
Those with 10 years who were highlighted were Charles Harding- Dietary, Robert Rowe- Maintenance, and in Housekeeping, Margaret Steffy and Darlene Fawthrop.
Kathleen Peters and Kathi Unangst – Nursing, William Canfield – Maintenance, Pauline Wilk – Dietary, and Maria Martinez – Housekeeping have notched five years of service and were also recognized.
“We truly have dedicated employees,” continued Beards. “What’s most important of all is that our employees are invested in the well-being of our residents.”
