Real Thiel: Your Key To What’s Happening in Warren County

Melanie Thiel

Warren County is filled with every sort of event you can imagine.  Restaurants, wineries, theaters, country clubs, and not for profit organizations host afternoons and evenings filled with food, fun, and, of course, music!

This column will highlight a few of these events each month and maybe even twice per month.  We’ll see where the long and winding roads of Warren County take the columnist.

Speaking of the columnist; that would be me, Melanie Thiel, Manager and Development Director of WNTI.org Internet Radio from Centenary College.

Warren County has always been a great place to experience live music so if you have a special event coming up that will feature music, let me know and maybe I’ll write about it.

The first event I would like to introduce the readers of Inside Warren to is the singer/songwriter series at The Inn at Millrace Pond.  The pub area downstairs is a beautifully rustic and intimate setting.  Perfect for a single act or a duo.  Personally, I think a trio gets too crowded in this venue.  Friday, Nov. 20 Quimby Mountain Band front man, Jesse Bardwell, will be performing.  Jesse can write, sing, play, and he makes the girls swoon with his charm and cute baby face!  Of course, there’s always the possibility of other bandmates showing up and joining in on a song or two.

I recommend calling a few friends to join you and making dinner reservations.  Sue Ann at the Inn at Millrace Pond will be happy to accommodate.

Melanie Thiel of the popular Internet station, WNTI.org, can be contacted at thielm@centenarycollege.edu.
