Refugee Shelter Talk by WCCC Professor Nov. 15

 

Professor Lori King of Warren County Community College will give a talk on the Refugee Shelter at Fort Ontario, Oswego, New York on November 15, at 5 p.m. at the College’s main campus, Route 57, Washington Township.

The shelter was a U.S. Government “Safe Haven” program for 982 Jewish refugees who fled Europe during the Holocaust. The shelter is now the Safe Haven Museum and Education Center in Oswego, New York.
