Washington Art Walk Slated For July 8

Washington Borough’s Second Saturdays Art Walk is scheduled for Saturday July 8 and features two outstanding regional artists.

You can enjoy these exhibitions at 5 East Art Gallery – 5 E. Washington Ave., and M Galleries – 67 E. Washington Ave. from 4-7 p.m. Look for the Flutter flags to mark these locations. The exhibits will be up throughout the month of July.

Exhibiting guest Artist at 5 East Art Gallery is Nancy Steele. Nancy has had a lifelong enthusiastic appreciation of art. And she has found her passion in watercolor. She began her formal training in 2007 and is currently receiving instruction from Doris Ettlinger. Steele resides in Glen Gardner with her husband, Michael.

M Galleries will exhibit the paintings and drawings of Joe Castronova. Castronova is Dean of the duCret School of Art, Plainfield.  His exhibit is titled Fresh Kills, named for the Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island. His work is graffiti based and brings forth his art making experience post 9/11.
