Washington Borough Businesses Pitch In

Reacting to the COVID crisis, several Washington Borough businesses, and residents, have been pitching in in the effort to donate badly needed medical supplies to the Warren County Office of Emergency Management and area hospitals. Even while small businesses are in a difficult position right now, they are committed to helping wherever they can. Among the Borough businesses tackling the call for supplies are Get A Grip, Headliners Salon, Allie’s Cupcakery and Your CBD Store.

Washington Business Improvement District Executive Director Melanie Thiel, along with area resident Brian Kathenes, have spearheaded many of the Warren County OEM collections. Dan Rossi, owner of Get A Grip, has been matched by Christi Radcliffe of Your CBD Store and Magda Brown of Empanada Mamasita (as well as a resident who wishes to remain anonymous) in supplying dozens of boxes of gloves to county officials. Kimberley Lauton, owner of Headliners, has also donated numerous items, and Allie’s Cupcakery has been taking up a collection that is being sent to Morristown Hospital, where a relative of hers works.

Overall donations have included gloves, gowns, masks and IV tubing.
