Addiction Awareness Task Force’s ‘Access To Care 101’

The Warren County Addiction Awareness Task Force, sponsored by the Warren County Freeholders, recently held a conference, Access to Care 101, that covered a far-ranging variety of topics on substance abuse disorder services available to organizations and the public. The event, which focused a great deal on opioid abuse in particular, drew dozens of participants from numerous organizations from the area. The event also featured keynotes from two officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In the photo, left to right, are Warren County Freeholder Jason Sarnoski, Craig Carpenito, U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey, Erica Lui, Opioid Coordinator U.S. Attorney’s Office, and Freeholder-Director Edward Smith. Douglas Steinhardt, a moving force behind the creation of the task force with Sarnoski, welcomed the audience to this very important event.  Among the local groups that provided an overview of services in the region were from Family Guidance Center, Parent 2 Parent WC, Inc., and CARES of Warren County.
